Also, if you are using upgraded fog lighting, I recommend upgrading the wiring and adding a power relay, since the stock fog lamp wiring was designed for 27 watt bulbs, not 55+ watt bulbs!

This modification re-routes the DRL power circuit to the fog lamps, via the fog lamp switch so that you have manual control over whether or not the lamps are on. You will need to acquire a pair of 1N400x diodes (1.5A) to be integrated into the circuit. Additionally, you can use a 1/4” spade crimp, trimmed to fit in the DRL diode socket. Also, if you are using upgraded fog lighting, I recommend upgrading the wiring and adding a power relay, since the stock fog lamp wiring was designed for 27 watt bulbs, not 55+ watt bulbs!
